R.I.P. Rob Vreeland
From kai at Floasis:
I come to the community today as the bearer of tragic news. One of our own members, Rob Vreeland also known as Dirty Harry, passed away Saturday night.
Rob had come into the floasis family not long ago seeking artistic inspiration by combining our love for dance and his love for photography. Not long after, it was clear that the dance bug had bitten him hard. Over the next year, we entered into a dual apprenticeship of sorts; an exchange of artistic information, if you will. Rob would teach me about photography and I would teach him about dance. This trading of skills was simply a seed though, to be planted in order to blossom into a lifelong friendship I had hoped we would have. Tragically, that friendship would never fully come to fruition.
Rob passed away as a master of his craft at the age of 24. He will forever be an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
Rest in peace Rob.
I never had the pleasure of meeting Rob in person, but with such a small community, each member is like family, and Rob will very much be missed. In his memory, below are some of my favorite photography contributions from him. You can find more of his photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/rvreelandphoto/.
